Asset finance is, therefore, the funding or credit provided by specialist companies to allow SME businesses to generate cash for re-investment is new assets or for use in the business day-to-day operations.  The asset will act as security against the sum financed.

The common forms of asset finance are:
-  Hire purchase
-  Lease on new assets
-  Trade financeSale and Leaseback on existing assets
-  Stock finance
